Sharon Erdrich, Reg Nurse, Naturopath, Herbalist, Health Consultant
...offers health and nutritional expertise to would-be health consultants, health professionals, as well as to private clients.
Sharon is a registered naturopath, clinical nutritional consultant and medical herbalist with a special interest in weight management, particularly for the benefit in preventing diabetes and reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease. Sharon offers an individually-tailored approach to your health problem and in addition to ensuring adequate nutrition, she believes that effective weight management can be achieved by correcting imbalances that contribute to weight gain, and that fundamental to maintaining a healthy weight is proper nutrition.
Sharon uses advanced pathology testing to identify abnormal function and imbalance and give direction to your treatment including salivary/urinary hormones and fatty acid metabolites.
With an abundance of naturopathic and nutritional knowledge, accumulated over the years on her journey through both alternative and conventional medical systems and her enquiring mind, Sharon can support people with an extremely wide range of health conditions.
Sharon's History
Her journey into natural medicine began in 1979, when as a student nurse she realised that sick people, treated with conventional medicine, didn't really get better. They just got well enough to function, or be discharged from hospital - until the next health crisis. Her desire to help people correct the underlying causes of their ill-health has fuelled her quest for an indepth understanding of many aspects of natural health care. Her preferred mode of working with clients to support the return to good health, and the maintenance thereof, is Nutritional Medicine
Sharon uses Functional Testing to establish underlying imbalances and thus is able to accurately target appropriate therapies for each client. For many clients, comprehensive testing may be indicated, including Live Blood Analysis as well as establishing the level of toxins in the body which can interfere with even the best nutritional program.
She also uses Herbal Medicine, Bach Flowers, Homoeobotanicals and Aromatherapy.
Sharon is a certified Metabolic Typing consultant and runs the UltraLite Weight Management Program to support client's return to healthy weight. She is also and advanced PSYCH-K facilitator and is trained by MINDD for the Biomedical treatment of children and adults with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorders)
Sharon enjoys researching and writing about health, including feature articles for Healthy Options magazine. She was also one of the Nutrition advisors to the 2008 TV Program "What's Really in our Food". Her wealth of experience in a wide range of fields, coupled with her passion for learning makes her an astute clinician, focusing on returning you to optimal health.
