Usha Mittal (Reg Naturopath and Medical Herbalist)

Usha is a degree qualified Naturopath and Medical Herbalist (BNatMed), with a postgraduate certificate in Human Nutrition from the University of Otago. She is a registered naturopath with the Naturopaths and Medical Herbalists of New Zealand (NMHNZ).

Fluent in English, Hindi and Punjabi, she is able to work with people from a range of cultures.

Inspired to study natural health after her own experience with endometriosis and the diagnosis of cancer in a family member.  Usha aspires to support people with chronic conditions. She has a family with two adult children, so is well experienced in problems associated with parenthood and children’s health. Usha has also completed the gut-focused internship at House of Health, under Sharon Erdrich, giving her a strong basis for working with digestive issues, including small intestinal bacterial overgrowth.

Providing a quality holistic and natural health experience addressing you as the person – not just the symptoms – Usha will conduct a comprehensive initial consultation to explore emotional, physical and lifestyle factors which may be affecting your health and well being.

Feeling tired, in pain or overwhelmed is not our natural state. Usha strongly believes everyone can feel better – given the right environment, the body has an innate ability to heal and resolve disease. Supporting all areas of wellness, Usha prefer to provide simple solutions initially, including dietary modifications, and home remedies. Addressing physical and emotional well being are two starting points on your journey to better health.
