Citrus medica 100% cold pressed top therapeutic grade essential oil, from Mexico.
This is truly a superb quality oil – totally authentic and has a sharper, more limey aroma than other lime oils.
Note: most lime oil is steam distilled from the whole fruit and thus is much cheaper to produce, but has a different quality to it as well.
Lime is used for it’s fresh invigorating properties.
It can be used to improve mood as well as a mild expectorant – use as an inhalation to clear the head and sinuses, or in the burner to create a holiday atmosphere.
A very small amount is all you need, mixed with a carrier oil (see my other listings) Use in creams, lotions, ointments, inhalations, and in personal massage blends.
NOTE: do not use undiluted.

Extend the life of your cold-pressed oils by storing in the refrigerator. Otherwise use within 6 months, or skin sensitisation may occur.
Do not use undiluted on the skin – blend to no more than a 2% concentration, due to potential to increase the photosensitivity of the skin (ie you might sunburn more easily) NOT TO BE TAKEN ORALLY.

This Essential Oil is certified Organic by the Soil Association which means you can be sure that it has been produced to the highest ethical and environmental standards. The Soil Association’s standards exceed the UK government’s minimum requirements for organic products in many areas but particularly in animal welfare, GM and the use of pesticides. Standards are constantly reviewed to ensure they deal with current issues.
